*It starts within you *

We go through life not knowing if we are doing ok.

How do we measure success, happiness, joy?

More often than we should it is with the validation of others. when someone tells you how well you have done or shows their approval of your achievements. The thing is, this can leave you so empty. Everyone is submerged in their own bubbles of thought and to- lists, life and reality, that there is little space left for anything else.

I have struggled with this. ( I really have)

But I now realize, I am doing great! I just haven’t taken a moment to stop and recognise my own progress.

Yesterday I had one of those moments.

I was lucky enough to be able to take time and realize that I’m on the right path.

I just want to let you all know; you don’t need the approval of others to feel good about yourself! You can do it for your self.

Talk to yourself as if you are talking to your best friend.

Smile when you look in the mirror.

Notice each tiny step you make toward positivity or a goal you have in mind. compliment yourself…

Breathe!

Take time in nature, light candles and be cozy ;P

have moments of quiet and stillness to check in with your body. What do you need, what is your body asking for?, rest, water, love?

You are amazing.

Think about how far you have come, what has made you strong, the lessons you have endured. The person you are and the good you do. You are doing ok 🙂

focus on the present, the here and now.

Focus on your positives.

Know that you are doing ok. 🙂

Please try to be there for yourself.

If others want to shower you with love and support- wonderful, fantastic!

But remember, the loving and support you need starts within you. ❤

But just for the record; I think you’re Awesome! 😉

We have a Splishy issue. A giant soggy problem!

Don’t get me wrong, I love and adore water. The wild stormy sea, a meandering  brook, tranquil lake, trickling stream…all of them, love love love.

The problem is though, that my home has developed a moat!

Yep, we have huge, gigantic pond as a driveway!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HjfQnu334o&feature=plcp  <- a video of my moat 😛

This gave me the perfect opportunity to turn my little home into a cozy -snuggly type place 🙂

Its no secret that I love sparkles and twinkles, and so I lit some candles, scented with berries and cinnamon and turned on the many many fairy lights all around the house, brewed hot tea and read the little elflings a Christmas tale.

I believe that fairy lights are not just for Christmas! they bring joy and light up a dreary day whatever time of year it is 🙂 and so I have 7 sets of lights at the moment, there are always plans for more !

I’ve always admired the way that cats can get comfy, and make it look so easy!  they just oooze comfort and contentment. Oh to slip into the body of a cat, just for a while. I’d love to experience that utter comfort, the way they contort and stretch, wriggle and writhe until the position is just right…. bliss!

Mr Spook has definitely embraced the slower pace today. He is lying next to me all snuggled up, he just stretches and reaches out for a little tickle every now and then. He is the master of relaxation!

stretching out

Hey...

So today, my life’s lesson is to be content. to nestle and be comfortable.

for there is a 20 foot wide moat between me and the world! But in all honesty, there’s no where else I’d rather be.

Put on some glitter and flitter down to the waters edge…. Hi :)

Hi :)

Welcome to my kooky little home online.

come in, stay awhile, kick off your shoes and get comfy!

This Is a happy little space for musing and exploring as we amble through life. I like to take in the scenery, soak up the atmosphere and make friends.

I live in a cozy wooded home with my Spooky mog and all the other inhabitants of my domain!

There are two mischievous elves by the names of Logan and Raven. Logan is the eldest most sensible of the two and he loves to know all there is to know about the universe and everything!

The younger, more outrageous elf is Raven. Her nook is bright pink and fluffy and filled with books as she enjoys devouring books as she sings and dances about. *do do doooo*!

The Gentle Giant of the north rules over our happy little land. His name is Monst. Monst and I have been Married happily ever after for 8 years now. He is usually found submerged in tales of dragons, zombies, and conquering the kingdom of  fable…or so it seems to me!..as I have no idea about those ‘computer game’ thingies, I’d  rather be poking a stick in a bonfire!

Spooky mog has an older moggy friend here too, well Spook would like to be friends… but Spoonie mog has other ideas. Spoon is old and creaky. She’s moved around a lot in her long life and wants nothing more than to sleep in a nice box and eat all the goodies she can. This Spooky Kitty has way too much springiness for her liking!

And I, am Haziefantazie, I’m sure we will get to know each other soon enough :)

*nice to meet you *
